'Bout Time Pub and Grub to Open in Smithfield

The Smithfield City Council has given its consent to a representative of the ‘Bout Time Pub and Grub franchise who plans to bring the restaurant to the city.

Tim Ryan, from the restaurant franchise, requested local consent as part of the process of acquiring a liquor license for the eatery.

The ‘Bout Time Pub and Grub sports bar chain currently has locations in Cottonwood, the Gateway, Herriman, Taylorsville, West Jordan and West Valley.

The company plans to expand to 104 S. Main St. in Smithfield, the building where the American Legion once was.

The building currently has a club liquor license that will be transferred to a restaurant full-service license, those involved say. This means beer and spirits will be served, but 70 percent of the transactions are required to be for food. Herald Journal
