Logan has weathered economic storm

Despite a sluggish economy, the city of Logan endured well in 2010, according to Mayor Randy Watts. "Economic woes continue to trouble the entire nation and while Logan has not been totally immune, we have weathered this passing storm with tremendous strength." Watts recounted several of Logan city's achievements over the past year, including the construction of 2,600 feet of new sidewalks, the acquisition of new ambulances and the awarding of Best in State status to Logan's parks and recreation department. Watts took a moment during his address to express praise for the city's employees, and gratitude to Logan's residents for their support and praise of the city's efforts. "The state of our city is strong. And we truly are, as our logo suggests, a city united in service." HJNews.com
