The Cache Valley Transit District has purchased 17 acres in North Logan, where a new state-of-the-art facility is being planned for future operations. Todd Beutler, the agency's general manager, said the CVTD acquired the land at the Eagle Creek Business Park for roughly $2.9 million, paid in part through a federal earmark.
The plan is to build a new facility that would cost about $40 million and be used for the next 30 to 50 years; when constructed, it would include more than 210,000 square feet for office space, maintenance and vehicle storage. The planned facility is a long-term project to be done in phases, and construction on it may not begin for several years, according to Beutler. Herald Journal
